Porto: Complete Travel Guide
Porto is one of the most authentic cities in Europe. Known as the Cidade Invicta — never conquered by the Moors — it has a different energy from Lisbon: rawer, more artistic, more intimate. The azulejo-tiled houses, the Port wine cellars across the river in Gaia, the bakeries tucked into neighbourhood streets. It's a city you discover on foot.
Porto is also incredibly welcoming to visitors. The city has grown in popularity, but still retains much of its neighbourhood character and genuine warmth.
